Maintenance

Purpose

Owns editor maintenance utilities and recovery workflows used throughout Snap Studio Pro.

This territory provides cache-management tools, delayed maintenance operations, and editor recovery helpers.

Owns

  • Thumbnail cache maintenance
  • Delayed cache clearing workflows
  • Maintenance utility windows
  • Lightweight editor recovery workflows

Does NOT Own

  • Thumbnail rendering implementation
  • Feature workflow orchestration
  • Rendering implementation
  • Preview lifecycle ownership
  • Export execution

Allowed Dependencies

Maintenance may depend on:

  • Thumbnail infrastructure
  • Diagnostics/logging
  • Window/dialog helpers
  • Unity Editor APIs

Maintenance should avoid depending on:

  • rendering systems
  • preview systems
  • export systems
  • feature orchestration systems

Notes

Maintenance systems intentionally exist outside normal production workflows.

They provide: - recovery tooling - cleanup workflows - cache reset operations

without embedding maintenance behaviour directly into editor runtime flows.

Future Candidates

  • Keep maintenance tooling isolated from production workflows.
  • Maintain explicit cleanup ownership.
  • Avoid embedding maintenance behaviour into core editor flows.
