StartUp

Purpose

Owns rendering-related startup cleanup and rendering initialization safety behaviour.

This territory is responsible for clearing temporary rendering caches and ensuring rendering-side editor state starts from a predictable baseline when Unity reloads or Snap Studio Pro initializes.

Owns

  • Rendering startup cleanup
  • Generated texture cache cleanup
  • Rendering initialization safety hooks
  • Rendering-side temporary resource reset workflows

Does NOT Own

  • Rendering orchestration
  • Preview lifecycle management
  • Export workflows
  • Editor UI
  • Pipeline routing
  • Feature-level initialization flows

Allowed Dependencies

StartUp may depend on:

  • Rendering utility systems
  • Texture cache systems
  • Unity editor initialization APIs

StartUp should avoid depending on:

  • Panels
  • Window
  • Preview orchestration systems
  • Feature workflow coordinators

Notes

This folder exists to isolate rendering-related startup/reset behaviour from broader application startup systems.

The systems here are intentionally lightweight and focused on: - cleanup - cache reset - temporary rendering resource safety

This territory should remain implementation-focused and should not evolve into a general application startup workflow system.

The primary goal is predictable rendering state during editor domain reloads and startup flows.

Future Candidates

  • Continue keeping rendering startup responsibilities isolated and lightweight.
  • Avoid allowing general application initialization logic into Rendering.StartUp.
  • Maintain explicit ownership of temporary rendering cache cleanup.
