Reset

Purpose

Owns preview reset workflows for restoring preview state back to a known baseline.

This territory is responsible for coordinating reset behaviour across preview transforms, rotation settings, and preview-facing visual state without owning the underlying preview systems themselves.

Owns

  • Preview reset coordination
  • Transform reset workflows
  • Preview baseline restoration
  • Preview state normalization
  • Background reset application

Does NOT Own

  • Preview scene lifecycle
  • Rendering implementation
  • Export workflows
  • Persistent preference management
  • Panel UI
  • Low-level subsystem implementation

Allowed Dependencies

Reset may depend on:

  • Preview facades
  • Models
  • Enums
  • Lightweight preview-facing services

Reset should avoid: - rendering implementation dependencies - feature orchestration ownership - pipeline-specific behaviour

Notes

This folder exists to centralize “restore preview to a safe/default state” behaviour without scattering reset logic across unrelated systems.

Reset systems should coordinate: - what gets restored - which defaults apply - how preview state returns to a predictable baseline

They should not become: - general workflow managers - rendering coordinators - persistence systems

The goal is predictable recovery/reset behaviour for preview workflows.

Future Candidates

  • Continue keeping reset workflows lightweight and coordination-focused.
  • Avoid embedding reset logic directly into unrelated preview systems.
  • Maintain clear ownership of baseline/default preview behaviour.
