Sync

Purpose

Owns preview-panel synchronization helpers for keeping shared transform data aligned with the live preview instance.

This territory updates shared transform state from the current preview instance so other editor workflows can use consistent transform data.

Owns

  • Preview transform synchronization
  • Shared transform state updates
  • Preview-driven repaint requests
  • Lightweight synchronization safety checks

Does NOT Own

  • Preview scene lifecycle
  • Prefab loading
  • Export execution
  • Capture implementation
  • Rendering implementation
  • Persistent preference ownership

Allowed Dependencies

Sync may depend on:

  • Preview facades
  • Shared transform models
  • Unity transform primitives
  • Repaint callbacks

Sync should avoid depending on:

  • export systems
  • rendering implementation systems
  • panel registration systems
  • feature workflow orchestration

Notes

Sync helpers exist to keep preview UI state and shared workflow state aligned.

They should remain narrow and should not become owners of preview lifecycle or export behaviour.

Future Candidates

  • Keep synchronization logic focused and explicit.
  • Avoid moving broader workflow state ownership into preview panel sync helpers.
