Capture¶
Purpose¶
Owns editor UI panels for configuring framing, aspect ratios, crop guides, and capture-facing composition settings in Snap Studio Pro.
This territory provides user-facing controls for how previews and captures are framed without owning rendering or export execution.
Owns¶
- Framing settings UI
- Aspect ratio selection UI
- Crop guide controls
- Grid overlay controls
- Capture composition settings
- User-facing framing workflows
Does NOT Own¶
- Rendering implementation
- Preview rendering lifecycle
- Capture execution
- Export orchestration
- Camera fitting implementation
- Rendering pipeline implementation
Allowed Dependencies¶
Capture panels may depend on:
- Capture settings models
- Preview facades
- Shared panel helpers
- Camera feature systems
- Unity Editor IMGUI APIs
Capture panels should avoid depending directly on:
- rendering implementation systems
- export execution systems
- pipeline-specific rendering internals
Notes¶
Capture panels define: - how captures should be framed - which overlays/guides are visible - which aspect ratio workflows are active
They do not perform: - rendering - exporting - image generation - texture processing
Preview and capture systems consume these settings later during rendering and export workflows.
Future Candidates¶
- Keep capture UI focused on composition and framing.
- Continue separating visual guides from rendering implementation.
- Avoid embedding export logic into capture-facing UI panels.
