Camera

Purpose

Owns editor UI panels for configuring preview camera behaviour in Snap Studio Pro.

This territory provides user-facing controls for projection mode, orthographic sizing, framing, and camera reset workflows while delegating actual camera manipulation and fitting logic to preview and camera feature systems.

Owns

  • Camera settings UI
  • Orthographic/perspective controls
  • Camera framing UI
  • Camera reset controls
  • User-facing camera workflow coordination

Does NOT Own

  • Camera fitting implementation
  • Preview scene lifecycle ownership
  • Rendering implementation
  • Capture execution
  • Export orchestration
  • Rendering pipeline implementation

Allowed Dependencies

Camera panels may depend on:

  • Camera feature systems
  • Preview facades
  • Shared panel helpers
  • Capture settings models
  • Unity camera/editor APIs

Camera panels should avoid depending directly on:

  • rendering implementation systems
  • export workflow systems
  • low-level rendering internals

Notes

Camera panels coordinate user-facing camera intent only.

Preview and camera systems own: - actual camera transforms - fitting calculations - live preview behaviour - rendering integration

Panels should remain lightweight and user-focused.

Future Candidates

  • Continue isolating camera implementation from UI controls.
  • Keep framing and projection behaviour delegated to camera/preview systems.
  • Avoid embedding preview lifecycle logic into camera panels.
