Styling¶
Purpose¶
Owns style-effect processing and capture-facing style helper workflows used by Snap Studio Pro.
This territory is responsible for applying visual style effects to captured textures and providing lightweight helpers for deciding when style effects should be applied.
Owns¶
- Style-effect processing
- Capture style helper workflows
- Pixel-level style transformations
- Style application utilities
- Capture-facing style decisions
Does NOT Own¶
- Preview style state ownership
- Rendering orchestration
- Export orchestration
- Panel UI
- Preview scene lifecycle
- Shader implementation
Allowed Dependencies¶
Styling may depend on:
- Style abstractions/contracts
- Capture-facing contracts
- Unity texture APIs
- Lightweight helper systems
Styling should avoid depending on:
- panel orchestration systems
- export workflow systems
- preview lifecycle systems
Notes¶
Styling is implementation/support territory for visual style effects.
Preview.Styling owns: - which style settings are active
Features.Styling owns: - how those effects are processed/applied to textures
Capture and Export systems decide: - when styled output is needed
This separation keeps style state, style processing, and production workflow orchestration cleanly separated.
Future Candidates¶
- Continue separating style state from pixel processing.
- Avoid allowing export orchestration into Styling.
- Maintain explicit texture ownership and cleanup expectations.
