Enums

Purpose

Owns shared enum definitions used throughout Snap Studio Pro.

This territory contains lightweight editor-domain enumerations used by preview, rendering, export, capture, styling, and workflow systems.

Owns

  • Shared editor-domain enum definitions
  • Rendering mode enums
  • Background style enums
  • Export format enums
  • Workflow configuration enums
  • Shared feature configuration enums

Does NOT Own

  • Workflow orchestration
  • Rendering implementation
  • Preview lifecycle ownership
  • Export execution
  • Panel UI layout ownership
  • Feature-domain business logic

Allowed Dependencies

Enums should remain lightweight and should avoid depending on:

  • workflow systems
  • rendering systems
  • preview systems
  • panel/UI systems

Enums should remain standalone primitives wherever practical.

Notes

Enums exist to provide: - explicit workflow configuration - shared editor-domain state definitions - predictable mode selection across systems

This folder should remain lightweight and stable.

Avoid introducing behaviour, utility logic, or orchestration into enum territories.

The XML comments on enums should focus on: - workflow meaning - editor intent - production usage context

not implementation detail.

Future Candidates

  • Keep enums lightweight and shared.
  • Avoid embedding logic into enum systems.
  • Continue using enums for explicit workflow intent rather than hidden magic values.
